I recently visited the Thai garden restaurant “Taling Pling” located about a 10-minute walk from BTS Thonglor Station, and I’d like to share my review.

Taling Pling is located about a 10-minute walk from BTS Thonglor Station. It’s situated a little way down a side street off Sukhumvit Soi 34.
At the entrance of Taling Pling, you’ll find a tuk-tuk and a bicycle with seating parked side-by-side. The bicycle looks purely decorative, but the tuk-tuk offers rides back to Sukhumvit Road. It’s only a short distance, more of a performance than a necessity, but it’s a nice touch!
The garden features a pond with swimming koi, creating a luxurious atmosphere. The building itself boasts a high ceiling and an opulent design.

The “Crab Fried Rice (Large) 510 THB++” was very generous and packed with crab. It was incredibly delicious, and the kids were completely satisfied!
The “Massaman Curry & Roti 225 THB++” is also excellent. Looking at Google Maps, it seems to be a signature dish of Taling Pling, and it truly lives up to its reputation. The roti was also very good.
The “Fried Shrimp 215 THB++” and “Fried Squid 225 THB++” were both perfectly crispy and well-prepared.
The “Moo Ping with Sticky Rice 190 THB++” was a hit with my friend’s child, and it’s easy for kids to enjoy the flavor.
The “Thai Omelet 160 THB++”, “Yum Woon Sen 220 THB++”, and “Tom Yum Goong 290 THB++” were consistently good. I feel like these three dishes are always reliable choices, and Taling Pling’s versions are on another level. Everything we ate was truly delicious.
The “Caramel Custard Pudding 125 THB++” was beautifully decorated with flowers and tasted great – a lovely dessert.
A small bottle of Singha beer (320ml) was 155 THB++.
Taling Pling Recommendation Score
To provide a reference, I’ll assign a score similar to Tabelog’s system. I personally rate the Thai garden restaurant “Taling Pling” in Thonglor around a 3.3 on the Tabelog scale (well-regarded). I’ll make a note of this.
The high scores are due to the luxurious building and garden, as well as the consistently delicious food. However, the prices are quite high, making it more suitable for special gatherings, parties, or dates rather than everyday dining.
