Introduction
I recently visited the French & Cafe “A TABLE / アターブル” located about a 23-minute walk from BTS Ekkamai Station, and I’m here to share my review.
About the French & Cafe “A TABLE” in Ekkamai
A TABLE / アターブル is located about a 23-minute walk from BTS Ekkamai Station. It’s quite a distance, so taking a tuk-tuk or taxi is recommended. A TABLE is also about a 6-minute walk from Donki Mall.
A TABLE is open only from Wednesday to Saturday, from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Rather than a formal French restaurant, it has the appearance of a stylish and unpretentious cafe. While not confirmed, the owner and chef is said to be a Japanese woman, and many aspects of the cafe seem designed to appeal to Japanese expatriate wives.
You can order French lunches, a la carte dishes, cakes, canelés, and coffee. They also offer takeout, and even sell original miscellaneous goods. It’s a lovely place. The prices are a bit on the higher side, but we decided to splurge for a friend’s farewell gathering.
Incidentally, when I checked Google Maps before going, it had over 160 reviews with an astonishing perfect score of 5.0!

Menu at “A TABLE” (Photos, Prices, Review)
I ordered the “October Lunch Plate for 480 THB”. It came as a one-plate meal featuring chicken and porcini mushroom stew baked in a pie case, chicken liver mousse on toast, salad, and bread with pork rillettes. The presentation was refined. The stew had a wonderful aroma of porcini mushrooms, and the crispy pie crust combined with the tender chicken was delightful. The salad was simple and delicious with a light dressing. The bread and rillettes were also a nice accompaniment.
I also tried the “Canelé for 80 THB”. The reason I chose the canelé was not only my personal preference for them, but also the numerous positive reviews on Google Maps praising their canelés, and the fact that they even had a pouch with a canelé pattern among their original goods, suggesting they were confident in their canelés. My choice was spot on – they were delicious.
The “Ginger Ale” was 50 THB.

Recommendation Score for “A TABLE”
To be helpful, I’ll assign a score similar to Tabelog. Personally, I’d rate A TABLE / アターブル, a French & Cafe in Ekkamai, around a 3.3 on the Tabelog scale. I’ll note this down for future reference.
The stylish yet unpretentious atmosphere and the appealing food that many expat wives would likely enjoy are definite highlights. However, the lunch portions are somewhat small, and the prices are quite high, so it might be better suited for special occasions.
Conclusion
The French & Cafe “A TABLE / アターブル” in Ekkamai is recommended for expat wives who enjoy cafes. You can enjoy a wonderful and delicious French lunch in a stylish, unpretentious setting.
