Introduction

I recently visited the pizza restaurant “Kenny’s BKK,” located about a 13-minute walk from BTS Phrom Phong Station, and I’m here to share my review.

Pizza Restaurant “Kenny’s BKK” @ Phrom Phong

Kenny’s BKK is situated along Sukhumvit Soi 31, approximately a 13-minute walk from BTS Phrom Phong Station, or about a 16-minute walk from BTS Asoke Station. You won’t see “Pizza” anywhere on the signage; instead, look for the illustration of a young man with a hat and headphones. The orange color is also a distinctive feature.

Kenny’s BKK first opened near Ari Station a few years ago, and this Phrom Phong location is their second branch. It’s a wonderful establishment that exudes vibrancy.

The clientele consisted mostly of young people, and the restaurant was quite crowded. It seemed like a popular spot for gatherings of friends or for dates. While there were many Thai and foreign customers, I didn’t notice any Japanese patrons, making it a potential hidden gem for Japanese diners.

Kenny’s BKK Menu (Photos, Prices, Reviews)

We started with appetizers, which they called “Social Bites.” While the exact meaning wasn’t immediately clear, it likely signifies dishes meant for sharing.

First, we tried the “Corn ribs with spicy marinara” for 180 THB. I had never had “corn ribs” before, and they were surprisingly delicious! Imagine a more mature version of corn on the cob, but about ten times tastier than I expected. I later found out that corn ribs became a viral sensation on TikTok about 3-4 years ago, with people eagerly making them for camping and barbecues (Reference: Corn Ribs, a Real-Life Version of Corn on the Cob, Are Going Viral on TikTok!). These were served with a spicy marinara sauce for dipping. They were so good!

Next, we had “Dips n’ Fries” for 180 THB. This dish featured wedge fries served with a selection of dips, and it was also quite tasty.

For the main course, the “Margherita” (300 THB) and “Prosciutto and Arugula Pizza” (390 THB) were undeniably delicious. They are cooked in a stone oven, and I must say, these were the best pizzas I’ve had in Thailand, by far. When I asked the staff, I learned that the chef is Thai, likely having trained in Italy. I highly recommend trying them.

The “Tomato Soup” (120 THB) was rich and wonderfully flavorful, with a perfect balance of tomato sweetness and savory broth. The “TRUFFLE BACON MAC & CHEESE” (290 THB), an American comfort food classic elevated with bacon and truffle oil, was also astonishingly delicious. Kenny’s BKK truly has an excellent sense of taste!

The stone-oven pizzas are fantastic, and the other dishes that kept coming were equally impressive. I thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience.

They also offer a wide variety of alcoholic beverages, including many draft beers and wines. While the white wine selection was limited, I opted for the “Queen Adelaide Cabernet Sauvignon (Red)” for 790 THB. It was well-chilled, crisp, and paired perfectly with the pizza.

I took photos of the menu so you can explore more of their delicious offerings.

I chose Kenny’s BKK over the well-known pizza restaurant “Peppina” nearby, based on online reviews that suggested Kenny’s was more affordable and offered better value. Given how delicious Kenny’s was, I’m now very curious about Peppina as well.

Kenny’s BKK Recommendation Score

To provide a reference point, I’ll assign a score based on the Tabelog scale. For the pizza restaurant “Kenny’s BKK” in Phrom Phong, I personally feel it warrants a score equivalent to 3.8 on Tabelog (well-regarded).
