Introduction
I recently visited the izakaya “Chicken Kay” located about a 11-minute walk from BTS Ekkamai Station, and I’d like to share my review.
About the izakaya “Chicken Kay” in Ekkamai
“Chicken Kay” is situated approximately an 11-minute walk from BTS Ekkamai Station. You can find Chicken Kay on the first floor of “Big C Ekkamai,” located on the right side as you head north along Ekkamai Road (Sukhumvit Soi 63) from BTS Ekkamai Station.
Incidentally, its sister restaurant, “Anji Japanese Cuisine,” is located on the third floor. Anji is a Japanese izakaya with a slightly more upscale approach than Chicken Kay and is familiar to many Japanese people, also having a branch in Fuji Super 2 on Soi 39.

Chicken Kay Menu (Photos, Prices, Reviews)
Chicken Kay is an izakaya that offers a wide variety of chicken dishes, including rice bowls, set meals, yakitori, karaage, fried items, hamburg steaks, steaks, curries, ramen, yakisoba, spaghetti, salads, sukiyaki, hot pot, chicken chankake, and desserts. They also have Thai dishes like Khao Man Gai, Pad Krapow, and Som Tum.
What truly sets Chicken Kay apart are its “Sanbero” and all-you-can-drink courses.
“Sanbero” is a play on “Senbero” (meaning “3000 yen to get drunk”), here meaning “300 Baht to get drunk.” For 300 Baht, you can choose two drinks from draft beer, highballs, or various chu-hi, along with three food items (limited to those priced under 140 Baht). It seems yakitori isn’t available during lunchtime hours.
For the all-you-can-drink course, the 900 Baht “Value Course” is highly recommended. It includes 2 hours of unlimited drinks and a choice of 5 dishes (excluding hot pot). There’s also a 1100 Baht “All-You-Can-Eat & Drink Course” that includes all dishes, including hot pot, but for most people, the Value Course is more than sufficient.
Furthermore, they offer a paid membership program that gives a 5% discount on your bill, although I don’t have all the details. This is a fantastic perk for fans of Chicken Kay!
Now, regarding the food, both the chicken dishes, Thai cuisine, and appetizers are all delicious! Personally, I really enjoyed the “Chicken Tsukune Hamburg.”

Chicken Kay – Recommended Rating
To provide some context, I’ll assign a score similar to Tabelog (Japan’s top restaurant-review site). Personally, I would rate “Chicken Kay” at Big C Ekkamai around a 3.3 out of 5.0, which is considered well-regarded.
Conclusion
“Chicken Kay” at Big C Ekkamai is an izakaya offering excellent value with its “Sanbero” (300 Baht set) and all-you-can-drink courses! All the dishes are delicious. It’s recommended for both casual drinks after work and gatherings with friends.
