Yakiniku Matador is situated about a 10-minute walk from BTS Phrom Phong station, on Sukhumvit Soi 39. If you head north from the station, it’s a bit past the Treasure Factory.
While I don’t have detailed information, my impression of Matador is that it’s a Japanese yakiniku restaurant with a high overall score. Their weekday lunch sets are affordable and delicious, and I also found the service to be excellent. They offer various room and seating options, and even have a kids’ space.

I ordered the “3-Type Meat Lunch Set for 290 THB++”. It included three types of beef – kalbi, harami, and rosu – along with three smaller plates of what seemed to be offal meat, possibly liver, salt-seasoned tongue, and pork jowl. It’s always nice to get extra!
The set also came with rice, kimchi, salad, soup, dessert, and iced coffee. The rice portion was refillable.
The meat was high quality and very delicious. The accompanying meats were also tasty. There was a generous portion of meat, so I was able to have a refill of rice without any problem.
My friend ordered a non-yakiniku lunch set, which also looked very appetizing. I think this restaurant is great for those who enjoy both grilling their own meat and having dishes ready to eat.

To be helpful, I’ll assign a score similar to Tabelog. I personally estimate Yakiniku Matador near BTS Phrom Phong station to be around a 3.6 on Tabelog, so I’ll leave that note here.
The weekday lunch sets offer delicious yakiniku at a great price, and the restaurant’s high overall quality, including service, seating options, and the kids’ space, earns it a high rating. While it might be asking for too much, I personally would be even more satisfied if they offered affordable alcoholic drinks during happy hour!
