Introduction

I recently visited the Japanese ramen restaurant “Ramentei Premium,” located about a 15-minute walk from BTS Thong Lo Station. I’d like to share my review.

About the upscale ramen restaurant “Ramentei Premium” in Thonglor

Ramentei Premium is located approximately a 15-minute walk from BTS Thong Lo Station. Situated along Sukhumvit Soi 49, it’s near Fuji Supermarket Branch 4 and next to Seiyou. It’s also about a 16-minute walk from BTS Phrom Phong Station.

While there’s a regular “Ramentei” near Fuji Supermarket Branch 1, “Premium” appears to be its more upscale counterpart. The interior features tatami seating, making it suitable for family gatherings. The seats are separated by dividers, and the service is attentive. Despite its upscale ambiance, it seems welcoming to families with children, as long as they aren’t overly noisy.

Menu at “Ramentei Premium” (Photos, Prices, Reviews)

The menu primarily features ramen, along with rice dishes and side dishes, resembling a neighborhood Chinese restaurant (machichuka) in its offerings.

I tried the “Chashu Men” (300 THB). It features thick, straight noodles and delicious chashu pork. It also comes with spinach. The portion size is a bit small, about 0.8 servings. Complimentary green tea is available, with a choice of hot or iced.

I also had the “Miso Ramen” (290 THB). This was the highlight of my meal and was truly delicious – a rich, authentic miso broth packed with vegetables.

I also sampled the “Hiyashi Ramen” (270 THB), which is essentially cold ramen and was also quite authentic.

The “Sauce Yakisoba” (250 THB) was authentic with a rich sauce.

Recommendation Score for “Ramentei Premium”

To be helpful, I’ll assign a score based on the Tabelog (Japan’s top restaurant-review site) scale. For Ramentei Premium, an upscale ramen restaurant in Thonglor, I personally estimate it to be around a 3.3 on the Tabelog scale.

Its strengths lie in the sophisticated atmosphere and the authentic ramen and side dishes. It’s also recommended for families with children. However, while good for an upscale establishment, some might find the portion size (0.8 servings) a bit small for the price if considering it for regular dining.

Conclusion

Ramentei Premium, an upscale ramen restaurant in Thonglor, is recommended for those seeking authentic ramen and side dishes in a refined setting. It’s also a great choice for families with children.
