Introduction

I recently visited the tonkotsu ramen restaurant “A Ramen” located about a 9-minute walk from BTS Thonglor Station, and I’m here to share my review.

About the 24-hour tonkotsu ramen restaurant “A Ramen” in Thonglor

About a 9-minute walk from BTS Thonglor Station, along Sukhumvit Soi 55, you’ll find Marche Thonglor, a shopping mall from the Central Group. It’s the mall that houses TOPS. Inside Marche Thonglor is the tonkotsu ramen restaurant, A Ramen.

Perhaps targeting the younger demographic in Thonglor, A Ramen features a chic interior and exterior design. Both the entrance and the interior are primarily black.

A Ramen Menu (Photos and Prices)

I ordered the “Ramen (Custom)” for 160 THB. The ordering process involves filling out a preference sheet and submitting it. I was impressed by how neatly arranged the noodles were and their perfect firmness. The soup, for a tonkotsu, felt like it was missing something. Incidentally, tonkotsu ramen is their only ramen offering; other items on the menu included char siu don, cold udon, cold soba, cold ramen, and cold sesame zaru ramen.

Since they are open 24 hours, I imagine it’s a place young people might come to after drinking until the early morning.

A Ramen Recommendation Score

To be helpful, I’ll assign a score modeled after Tabelog (Japan’s top restaurant-review site). For A Ramen, a tonkotsu ramen shop in Thonglor, I personally feel it equates to a 3.0 on Tabelog, so I’ll make a note of that.

Conclusion

A Ramen, the tonkotsu ramen restaurant in Thonglor, is open 24 hours. It’s recommended for those late-night cravings after drinking until the early morning!
