Introduction
I recently visited the ramen restaurant “Ajisai” located about a 6-minute walk from BTS Asoke Station, and I’d like to share my review.
About the Japanese ramen restaurant “Ajisai” in Asoke
Ajisai ramen is located about a 6-minute walk from BTS Asoke Station, along Sukhumvit Soi 23. It’s about a 14-minute walk from BTS Phrom Phong Station. The sidewalk is narrow and the building can be hard to see, so it’s best to use Google Maps to find it.
Ajisai, established in 2014, is a ramen restaurant popular with many Japanese expats. When I visited, there were also many Thai customers.

Ajisai Menu (Photos and Prices)
There were many items on the menu, which made it hard to choose, but since I enjoyed the Spicy Cold Noodle at “Ise“, I decided to order that here.
I ordered the “Spicy Cold Tan Tan Men 269B+” on the “hot” setting, which is the highest of the three spice levels. The red, thick soup was topped with a generous amount of chili powder, along with vegetables like greens, purple cabbage, and green onions. I don’t recall there being any char siu.
I stirred it well from the bottom before taking a bite… Yes, it’s definitely spicy. The mala flavor clings to your mouth. However, as I’m writing this about a month after eating there, my honest impression is that beyond the spiciness, it wasn’t very memorable.

Ajisai Recommendation Score
To be helpful, I’ll assign a score similar to Tabelog (Japan’s top restaurant-review site). I personally estimate the rating for Ajisai, a ramen shop in Asoke, to be around 3.1 on Tabelog, so I’ll leave that note here.
The wide variety of menu options, offering enjoyment on multiple visits, is a strong point. On the other hand, it wasn’t clear which dishes were their specialty, and I couldn’t shake the feeling that there might have been even more delicious ramen options available.
Conclusion
Ajisai ramen in Asoke is recommended for those who want to choose from a wide variety of ramen dishes.
