Introduction
I recently visited the beef tongue specialty restaurant “Besuke,” located about a 5-minute walk from BTS Thonglor Station, and I’d like to share my review.
About the beef tongue specialty restaurant “Besuke” in Thonglor
Besuke, a beef tongue specialty restaurant, is located about a 5-minute walk from BTS Thonglor Station. I went there after a friend told me about an incredible coupon in “Banmeshi.” It was an amazing coupon: the usually 700 THB+ beef tongue set meal was free for the first 30 customers each day, limited to first-time visitors. When I went, not long after the coupon was released, there was hardly any queue, but the line grew longer as time went by.
At first glance, 700 THB+ might seem expensive, but the beef tongue here isn’t thin like you’d find at a cheap yakiniku place. It’s thick, just like the beef tongue you’d eat in Sendai. In Japan, a set meal like this would cost around 2,500 yen, so this price is only slightly higher.

Besuke’s Menu (Photos, Prices, and Review)
I had the “Beef Tongue Set Meal (3 pieces, 6 slices)” for 0 THB. From here on, I will review as if it were the regular price (700 THB+). The beef tongue set meal includes plump, thick-cut beef tongue, barley rice, grated yam, oxtail soup, and pickles. I also ordered a “Coke for 50 THB+.”
Before grilling the beef tongue, the manager showed us the beef tongue in a box resembling a ‘Pandora’s box,’ saying, “This is today’s beef tongue.” It was a rather stylish presentation, considerate of bloggers and influencers. They cut each slice of beef tongue into two and grill it over charcoal.
Time to eat. It was indeed plump, thick-cut beef tongue. The saltiness was just right, and the taste was comparable to the beef tongue I had in Sendai. Thick, juicy, and with a satisfying chewy texture. The pickles were different from what I’m used to; it would have been perfect if they included Nanban Miso pickles. Come to think of it, the quality of Sendai’s beef tongue was extremely high. It’s been a long time since I visited Sendai, but back then, I liked Tasuke. I don’t remember which Tasuke was better. Ah, I’m starting to miss Sendai.
By the way, the coupon was also listed in the July 2025 issue of Banmeshi. The owner’s generosity is truly appreciated. If you haven’t been yet, please go!

Besuke’s Recommendation Score
Hoping this might be helpful, I’ll assign a score similar to Tabelog (Japan’s top restaurant-review site). For the beef tongue specialty restaurant “Besuke” near BTS Thonglor Station, I personally estimate it to be around a 3.2 on the Tabelog scale, so I’ll make a note of that.
The taste of the beef tongue is its strongest point. I was surprised that they managed to recreate charcoal-grilled beef tongue so well in Thailand, a foreign country. If they could make the price a little cheaper and perhaps diversify the side dishes in the set meal, I think it could be even more enjoyable.
Conclusion
The beef tongue specialty restaurant “Besuke” near BTS Thonglor Station is recommended for those who want to eat authentic charcoal-grilled beef tongue comparable to what you’d find in Japan.
