I recently visited the izakaya and bar “Tokyo Kushiyaki”, located about an 18-minute walk from BTS Thonglor Station, and would like to share my review.

Tokyo Kushiyaki is located about a 15-minute walk north along Sukhumvit Soi 55 (Thonglor Road) from BTS Thonglor Station. Turn left onto Thonglor Soi 11, and you’ll find the izakaya and bar about 1-2 minutes further down.
Tokyo Kushiyaki recently launched an unbelievable all-day happy hour. This promotion runs daily, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays, from 5 PM to 11 PM. During this time, about 10 types of alcoholic beverages, including wine, are available for just 39B++ per drink. An all-day happy hour is the dream of any drinker, but it must be incredibly challenging for the establishment. In my long life, I’ve never heard of an all-day happy hour before. This must be a testament to Tokyo Kushiyaki’s strong commitment. I urge you to visit quickly and show your support!

Tokyo Kushiyaki Menu (Photos, Prices, and Review)
Let’s start with the details of the all-day happy hour. It includes Asahi bottled beer, highball, mega highball, various sours, and red/white wine, all priced at 39B++ (46B). At 46B, this is comparable to the famous daytime happy hour spot, Old English Pub in Thonglor (LEO beer pint for 45B), and even cheaper than Ebisushoten (Asahi draft beer, highball, lemon sour for 55B++ = 61B). Considering it’s available in the evening and includes about 15 types of drinks, its happy hour value is exceptionally high compared to others.
Personally, I enjoyed the incredibly well-priced red and white wine, the Mango Sour with chunky frozen mango pieces, the Homemade Ginger Sour with its addictive spicy ginger kick, and the Homemade Lemon Sour with a strong lemon flavor. If you plan to drink a lot, the “Tokyo Mega Lemon Sour” and “Tokyo Mega Highball” are good choices.
Since it was a drinking gathering, I didn’t take many food photos, but the “Negi Salad” (99B++) was incredibly delicious. It’s made with green onions and daikon radish seasoned strongly with sesame oil, salt, and MSG. It paired exceptionally well with drinks. It was so good that there’s hardly any photo left… please understand.
The “Assorted Yakitori (10 skewers)” for 348B++ was also delicious, grilled over charcoal. The manager mentioned that Tokyo Kushiyaki operates seven izakayas and is affiliated with a meat processing company in Tokyo. They prepare their skewers in-house using high-quality meat sourced through their own channels. The recipes are also based on those from Tokyo.
The “Caesar Salad” (99B++), “Som Tum Salmon” (198B++), and “Fried Chicken” (99B++) were all affordable and tasty, making it a highly cost-effective izakaya experience.
Tokyo Kushiyaki Recommended Rating
To provide a helpful reference, I’ll assign a rating based on the Tabelog (Japan’s top restaurant-review site) scale. For the izakaya and bar “Tokyo Kushiyaki” in Thonglor, I personally estimate it to be around a 3.4 on Tabelog.
The standout feature, undoubtedly, is the incredible all-day happy hour, which significantly boosts its score. Furthermore, both the yakitori and other dishes were delicious and reasonably priced. The service was also pleasant. I sincerely hope the all-day happy hour continues for a long time.
