Introduction

I recently visited the Japanese tsukemen and ramen restaurant “Kiri Tsukemen Senmonten,” located about a 5-minute walk from BTS Thong Lo Station, and would like to review it.

About the authentic Japanese tsukemen and ramen restaurant “Kiri Tsukemen Senmonten” in Thonglor

“Kiri Tsukemen Senmonten,” where you can enjoy authentic Japanese tsukemen and ramen in Thonglor, is located about a 5-minute walk from BTS Thong Lo Station. Heading north from Thong Lo Station along Thong Lo Road (Sukhumvit Soi 55), Kiri is on your right. Kiri is on the second floor of the building, and its sister restaurant, “Tsuru Udon,” is on the same floor.

The tsukemen and ramen at Kiri are highly refined, offering an authentic taste that feels perfectly at home alongside Japanese tsukemen and ramen.

Kiri Tsukemen Senmonten Menu (Photos, Prices, Reviews)

Kiri Tsukemen Senmonten offers both tsukemen and ramen. The tsukemen options include “Rich Tsukemen,” “Spicy Tsukemen,” “Pork Fat Tsukemen,” and “Yuzu Salt Tsukemen.” The ramen options are “Shoyu Ramen,” “Shio Ramen,” “Pork Fat Shoyu Ramen,” and “White Ramen.” The “White Ramen” is likely a frothy chicken paitan, described as rich and creamy. All dishes are priced at 350 THB+. While this might seem high, all menu items are served “all-you-can-eat” style with generous toppings of chashu, menma, and more, making the price comparable to Japan. Large portions are an additional 40 THB+.

I tried the signature “Rich Tsukemen (350 THB+).” The rich seafood broth is delicious. The noodles are smooth and chewy, perfectly firm, and neatly arranged. The dipping broth contains pieces of chashu and menma. The bowl is topped with chashu, menma, egg, nori, and kaiware. You can change the flavor profile once each with garlic and lemon. The soup return (su-war) is also good. It’s an authentic tsukemen, just like in Japan. The “Pork Fat Tsukemen (350 THB+)” is also excellent. The seafood broth mixed with pork fat is delicious. Be aware that unlike the “pork fat splash” style common in Japan, the pork fat here is fully dissolved into the soup, so it can be quite rich.

I also tried the “Shoyu Ramen,” and it was undeniably good. The large slices of chashu arranged around the bowl are a highlight.

You can also enjoy drinks here. Options include Asahi bottled beer (90 THB+), Kirin bottled beer (110 THB+), Chashu appetizer (120 THB+), and Menma appetizer (55 THB+). I’m curious about the taste of the Shrimp and Fish Cake Spring Rolls (110 THB+).
