Introduction

I recently visited the Korean restaurant “Cheongdam” located about a 6-minute walk from BTS Nana Station, and I’m here to share my review.

About the Korean restaurant “Cheongdam” near Nana

If you exit BTS Nana Station on the south side and walk west along Sukhumvit Road for about 5 minutes, you’ll find a Korean town. This area is bustling with Korean grocery stores and restaurants. Tucked away in the back of this Korean town is the Korean restaurant “Cheongdam.”

Cheongdam’s Menu (Photos, Prices, Review)

All lunch sets at Cheongdam are priced at 129 THB+. That’s a ridiculously low price, comparable to a food court. When I visited, there were eight different lunch options. They typically come as a “main dish and rice” or “rice bowl and soup” set, and include unlimited refills of kimchi. The lunch special is available until 5 PM daily.

After much deliberation, I chose the “Bibimbap Lunch Set for 129 THB+.” This set included bibimbap, soup, and kimchi. As for the taste, it was good, but there wasn’t anything particularly unique about it. However, considering the price, it’s unbelievably cheap. That’s the main selling point, in my opinion.

I also took advantage of the happy hour, ordering an “Asahi Draft Beer B1G1 for 119 THB+.” This offer is also valid until 5 PM. At about 65 THB per glass, while perhaps not as cheap as at places like the Old English Pub or Tokyo Kushiyaki, it’s a pretty decent happy hour deal for some daytime drinking. Why not enjoy a bargain lunch with unlimited kimchi as a snack?

Cheongdam’s Recommendation Score

To be helpful, I’ll assign a score similar to how Tabelog (Japan’s top restaurant-review site) does. I’d personally rate Cheongdam, the Korean restaurant near Nana, around a 3.2 on the Tabelog scale. I’ll leave this note here for future reference.

The standout features are the incredibly cheap lunch sets and the enjoyable happy hour for daytime drinks accompanied by unlimited kimchi. On the downside, I haven’t yet discovered a standout dish, so further exploration might be needed.

Conclusion

The Korean restaurant “Cheongdam” near Nana is recommended for those looking to enjoy a very affordable lunch and happy hour for daytime drinks.
