Introduction

I went to a Vietnamese restaurant called “Saigon Recipe”, which is about a 15-minute walk from BTS Thonglor Station, so I would like to review it.

Vietnamese restaurant “Saigon Recipe” @Thonglor

The Vietnamese restaurant “Saigon Recipe” is about a 15-minute walk from BTS Thonglor Station. Saigon Recipe is about a 17-minute walk from Phrom Phong Station. It’s a little far from both stations, so it’s better to go by tuk-tuk, taxi, or motorbike taxi.

Saigon Recipe is in a mall along Sukhumvit Soi 49, but it is a little hard to find, so it is easier to find if you look for Fuji Supermarket 4 and Villa Market on the opposite side of Soi 49. If you are taking a tuk-tuk, get off at “The Hive Thonglor” in the mall.

The interior was very stylish. The interior was beautifully designed in Vietnamese style, with furniture, accessories and paintings beautifully displayed.

By the way, Saigon Recipe seems to have received a Michelin star. I don’t really care about Michelin, but that’s amazing! The Michelin plate is only for 2021, but there were also award certificates for 2023 and 2024. I have the impression that there are not many Vietnamese restaurants in Bangkok, so I think it’s good that there are Michelin-starred restaurants like Saigon Recipe.

Saigon Recipe menu (photos, prices, reviews)

First, I had “Shrimp Spring Rolls 180B++”. They are served with a sesame-based sauce. The shrimp are plump and the vegetables are crunchy and delicious. Then I had “Fried Spring Rolls 200B++”. These have a sour sauce. They have a different flavor from the fresh spring rolls.

“Large serving of pho with chicken 250B++”. It has a gentle taste that is so delicious. It was also popular with the kids. However, I can’t help but remember the glass noodle soup in Esan Bar (my recent favorite).

“Chicken pate and ham banh mi 150B++”. This was also delicious! I think banh mi is an exquisite food that combines French and Vietnamese cultures, and it’s delicious. If you haven’t tried it yet, please give it a try.

The drink was “Watermelon Smoothie 120B++”. It had a strong watermelon flavor and was delicious.

Each dish was made with an abundance of vegetables, and they were very fresh. I think Saigon Recipe is a restaurant that can be recommended not only to Vietnamese food lovers, but also to vegetarians.

“Saigon Recipe” recommendation rating

I thought it might be useful to me, so I’ll give it a rating like Tabelog. I personally think Saigon Recipe, a Vietnamese restaurant in Thonglor, is about 3.4 on Tabelog, so I’ll leave a note here.

Conclusion

Saigon Recipe, a Vietnamese restaurant in Thonglor, is recommended for those who like Vietnamese food! Pho and banh mi are especially recommended! The vegetables are also fresh, so it is also recommended for vegetarians!
