Thai ramen restaurant “Bamee Kon Sae Lee” @Thonglor
The Thai ramen shop “Bamee Kon Sae Lee” is located about a 2-minute walk from BTS Thonglor Station. It’s along Sukhumvit Road. It’s easy to find because there are chunks of pork hanging in front of the store.
Bamee Kon Sae Lee is a famous restaurant for Thai ramen, or “Kuay Teow”, and they especially serve “Bamee” among the varieties of Kuay Teow. Bamee is “noodles made from wheat flour with eggs” that are closest to Japanese ramen.
“Bamee Konsalee” menu (photos, prices, reviews)
First, I ordered the signature dish, “Ramen with wonton and crispy roast pork 70B” without soup. The waiter skillfully mixed the seasonings into the freshly boiled bamee. I ate it while it was still hot. The toppings were wonton, roast pork, and a vegetable that looked like komatsuna. Huh? It was surprisingly average. Rather than the bamee, the soup that came with it was really delicious. It had a good stock and a nice pepper flavor. I also tried it with soup, but it was also average.
On another day, I had the “Roast Pork and Chinese Sausage Fried Rice 70B”. It was so delicious! The rice was covered in rich fat, light and fluffy, and had a strong flavor. The roast pork and sausage were delicious. And the soup was good too. I would go there again if I could get this for the local price of only 70B. I was surprised that the price had recently gone up. By the way, there is also a menu item called “Super Crab Fried Rice” with lots of crab for 250B, so I would like to try it as a treat.
In addition to bami and fried rice, there will also be wonton soup, single side dishes, rice with side dishes, drinks, and more, so it looks like there’s a lot to enjoy.
Recommendation level of “Bamee Kon Sae Lee”
I thought it might be useful, so I’ll give it a rating like Tabelog. I personally think that the Thai ramen shop “Bamee Kon Sae Lee” in Thonglor is equivalent to about 3.6 on Tabelog, so I’ll leave a note here.
Conclusion
